What is Clarion?

Clarion is a Chrome extension that turns YouTube into a study tool. Hover any video to get an AI verdict, save Smart Notes, generate quizzes, and build a knowledge graph — all in 35+ languages.

How do I install it?

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, then sign in with Google. Your plan and saved notes sync automatically across devices.

What permissions does Clarion need, and why?

  • youtube.com access — to show verdicts and notes inside the player.
  • Storage — to remember your language, Travel Mode, and reminder settings.
  • Account (Google sign-in) — to sync your plan and Vault across devices.
Clarion never reads your watch history, keystrokes, or any site outside YouTube. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I upgrade or change my plan?

Open your dashboard and pick a plan, or visit Pricing. Payments are processed securely by Polar — card details never touch our servers.

How do I cancel or download invoices?

From the dashboard, click Manage subscription to open the Polar customer portal, where you can change plan, cancel, and download every invoice.

The extension isn't loading on YouTube

  • Refresh the YouTube tab once after installing.
  • Make sure you're signed in via the extension popup.
  • Disable other YouTube extensions that may conflict, then reload.
